Our History
This Hospital has been serving the community for over forty years. It began operations in a much smaller building on this same site. Additions and improvements were made over the years, but, it became obvious that newer facilities were needed, a new building was constructed alongside the original clinic.The present Hospital, with entrance on the south side of this building, was completed in 1997.
We are proud of our heritage and our commitment to pet health care in this community.
The Animal Hospital of Oakville is an affiliate of the American Animal Hospital Association. (Our membership dates back to 1969)
This Association, with a membership of more than 10,000 Veterinarians, conducts regular evaluations of our Hospital to insure that we maintain their strict standards of quality care for companion animals; including the clinic itself, the equipment used, methodology, record maintenance and pet health management. Less than six percent of Canadian small animal veterinary facilities are hospital members of this international association.
